LESS SETUP. A CLEARER SEQUENCE.

Automatic Video Editor

Klipzo offers an automatic video editor workflow for joining footage you already have. Choose the trims, order and caption text; the browser assembles your sequence into one export. Semantic scene selection and automatic speech transcription are not included.

BRIEF-LED AI · PRIVATE PREVIEW

AI generation is in private preview. Public generation and paid plans are not available yet.

The editor, in concrete terms.

The public editor runs on your device. The limits below cover a single project and its finished export. Supported input is determined by your browser’s decoder rather than a promise that every file with a particular extension will work.

Current automatic assembly and export specifications
Input filesVideo files your browser can decode; compatibility is checked on import.
Project sizeUp to 12 clips, 100 MB per file and 500 MB in total.
Finished durationUp to 120 seconds per export, based on the sum of your selected trims.
OutputWebM video, up to 720p, in landscape (16:9), portrait (9:16) or square (1:1).
CaptionsManually entered text burned into the video. Speech transcription is not available.
AudioSource audio can be retained when the browser supports capture. The editor checks compatibility before export.
Processing timeExport runs in the browser in real time. Clip duration, device performance and browser support affect completion.
Price and allowance$0 for local editing, with no credit purchase. The project limits above apply to each export.
LanguageEnglish interface. Caption text is entered by you; no language detection or translation is included.
File handlingLocal editor footage stays in your browser. AI preview account and chat data use a separate online workflow.

Four steps to one finished sequence.

Prepare a small set of clips before you open the editor. It works well for a straightforward social cut, product demonstration or visual explanation where you already know the moments you want to keep. Every trim remains your choice.

  1. 1.Import the useful clips

Choose files from your device, up to 12 clips per project. Let the browser load each file so it can check playback and duration. Remove files that do not support your message. If a clip cannot be decoded, use a version your browser can play before continuing.

  2. 2.Trim to the action

Set each clip’s start and end time. Remove dead space before a demonstration starts and after it finishes. Keep enough context for the action to make sense. The sum of the selected sections determines the finished length, which must stay within 120 seconds.

  3. 3.Choose order and text

Place the strongest opening first and arrange the remaining clips to follow the story. Type a short caption that adds useful context. Captions are burned into the image, so check spelling and line length before rendering. Choose portrait, landscape or square to fit the destination.

  4. 4.Render and check

Preview the framing and start the WebM export. Retain source audio when browser capture is supported, or switch to a silent result. Keep the tab open until the file is ready. Watch the downloaded video and check its duration, captions and audio before sharing it.

Local assembly or a full timeline?

A compact assembly tool suits an uncomplicated sequence. A full timeline gives you a larger set of controls when you need layered audio, detailed animation or more elaborate effects. Neither workflow removes the need to choose footage that tells the right story.

What is automatic in this workflow?

After you choose the clips, trim points and order, Klipzo joins the selected sections and renders one output file. You do not have to place every section on a separate track or configure a rendering pipeline. That is the automation available in the public editor. Choosing meaningful moments, writing captions and deciding the story remain manual decisions.

Automatic assembly is useful when your source material is already close to the result you want. A few shots of a product in use, a short walkthrough or a set of event highlights can become a concise sequence. If you need the software to understand speech, choose highlights from a long recording or search a stock library, those capabilities are outside the current editor.

A useful cut is a deliberate cut.

Before trimming, decide what the viewer should understand at the end. Keep the opening connected to that outcome. A product clip might begin with the finished result, then show how it happens. An explanation might begin with a question, demonstrate one answer and end with the next step. Extra footage can weaken a short piece when it does not add information.

Caption text should support the picture rather than repeat every visible detail. Use a short label to name a step, clarify a benefit or mark a change. The current editor takes text you enter; it does not listen to the audio and generate a transcript. Burned-in captions remain visible in the exported pixels and cannot be switched off like a separate subtitle track.

Questions about the editing workflow.

What does an automatic video editor do here?

In Klipzo, automatic editing means assembling the clips and trims you select into a single rendered video. You choose the content, timing, order, aspect ratio and caption text. The current release does not detect highlights, cut based on spoken meaning, remove pauses automatically or generate a transcript.

Can I edit without an account?

Yes. The public local editor is free and does not require an account or a credit balance. Import your own browser-playable video files, keep them within 100 MB per file and 500 MB per project, and export a sequence up to 120 seconds long. Account-based AI creation is a separate private preview.

Which format and resolution can I export?

The current output is WebM, up to 720p. You can choose 16:9 landscape, 9:16 portrait or 1:1 square. The browser must support recording the canvas output. Check whether your intended destination accepts WebM; MP4 conversion and higher-resolution output are not part of this release.

Will the editor keep the sound from my clips?

It can retain source audio when the browser supports the required capture. Compatibility is checked before export. If audio capture is unavailable, the editor shows a clear error instead of silently promising sound. You can choose a silent export or use a compatible browser. Audio mixing and separate music tracks are not included.
