Privacy Policy
How local editing, accounts, online workflows and analytics handle your information.
Last updated: 2026-10-10
Scope
This policy covers the website at klipzo.si, its free local video editor and its account-based preview workspace. The local editor and the online preview handle data differently. This page explains those differences so you can choose what to provide.
Local video editing
When you select video files in the public local editor, your browser reads and processes them on your device. The editor does not upload those source files to our servers for trimming, combining, captions or export. The exported WebM file is created in your browser and downloaded to your device.
The editor uses temporary browser resources while the page is open. It does not promise account-based storage of an unfinished local project. Save an export you want to keep before closing the editing session. Your browser, operating system and destination application may separately handle the files you save or share.
Account and online workspace data
Creating an account requires information such as your name, email address and authentication credentials. We store account and session records to operate sign-in, protect access and maintain the workspace. Essential cookies can remember the signed-in session and site preferences.
If you use the online preview, information you submit there can include prompts, chat messages, support requests and uploaded media. Those submissions are separate from files opened in the local editor. Online records may be stored so that the workspace can display your conversation and respond to your requests.
Public AI generation is not available in this release. If a configured AI workflow becomes available, the prompts and media needed for that request may be sent to the relevant provider, including Fal for video processing. The provider's terms and privacy policy will also apply to its processing. Do not submit confidential information or personal data you do not have permission to use.
Analytics and technical information
We use Google Analytics 4 on public marketing pages to measure visits. Before you choose, and when you decline optional cookies, Google receives cookieless measurement pings with analytics and advertising storage denied. These pings may include the page path, time, browser and device information, and consent status; they do not use persistent analytics cookies. We remove query strings and fragments from the page URL and referrer we send. Cookieless measurement cannot establish an exact count of returning people.
Choosing “Allow cookies & recordings” enables analytics cookies and Microsoft Clarity session recordings on public pages. Advertising consent remains denied. Clarity can process page structure and interaction data for session playback. The local editor, account, chat and administration pages are excluded from both services.
Google describes Analytics data collection and user controls in its data safeguards documentation. Microsoft describes Clarity's interaction and page data in its data collection documentation and Privacy Statement. These providers may process information outside your country. Their handling of that information is governed by their own policies and the settings used for the service.
Hosting and security systems may also process request metadata, such as the requested URL, IP address, browser information, time and error details, to deliver the website and prevent abuse. Visiting the site does not send the video bytes selected in the local editor to an analytics service as a video upload.
How information is used
We use account, workflow and technical information to provide the requested features, keep sessions working, diagnose errors, protect the service and respond to support questions. Configured analytics helps us understand navigation and improve the product. We do not sell your account information or local editor files.
Service providers may process information needed for hosting, authentication, storage, analytics or a requested online workflow. We may also disclose information when required by applicable law or to address fraud, security incidents or misuse. We do not publish your private chat or uploaded media as public marketing examples without your permission.
Retention and your choices
Local editor files are not retained on our servers. Account, online workspace and support records may remain while needed to operate your account, handle your request, protect the service or meet applicable obligations. This release does not offer a published automatic retention schedule for every online record.
You can update available profile details in account settings. You can use your browser controls to delete cookies and the site’s stored analytics preference, then choose “Decline optional cookies” on your next public-page visit. Cookieless visit measurement continues after this choice. You can also restrict third-party scripts; doing so can affect sign-in or analytics. If you have an account, send access, correction or deletion requests through workspace support. We may need to verify that a request relates to your account before acting on it. Rights and exceptions depend on the law that applies to you.
Changes and contact
We will update the date on this page when the policy changes. For a question about your account or information you submitted, use workspace support. Include the relevant feature and request, without sending passwords or payment credentials.
